Introduction
Hey guys! I, David Schwall, will be your new writer for the Ireland blog as you may know since I am writing this post, but just figured I would say hi to you followers of the Irish National Team, and give a little background about myself.
I am from New York and attend St. Johns University in beautiful and magnificent Queens. By beautiful and magnificent I really mean sketchy and interesting, but I am sure you guys knew that. I am 2nd generation Irish, as both my grandfather and grandmother came to the US from the beautiful country of Ireland! I am a proud Irish-German-American, and not afraid to show it. I hope to have a lot of fun and enjoyment writing on this blog, and hope that all you readers enjoy the time as well, supporting our lovely Eire through the great, the good, and (hopefully not too much) bad. I know everyone has a different opinion on certain things, as that is human nature, and the arguing can be beneficial. But please keep your Irish tempers down and in control if you believe either myself, or someone else has posted something you may not agree with. Hope you all have a great day, and Ni ceart go cur le cheile.
=)

David, a hearty welcome. I’ve been away from Ireland in the States too long, and am still recovering from the french handballs heard around the world (and witnessed by a horrified me at my kitchen table via pirated stream). I enjoy keeping up with the boys in green and am delighted to have found you holding down the fort here.
May your glory rise with our lads as we surge toward Euro 2012 and Brasil 2014. Cheers.
